Welcome to the website of Appleton Probus Club in Warrington

Our regular meetings are held at the Warrington Sports Club, Walton Lea Road, Higher Walton, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 6SJ. Click here for a map.

On the second Wednesday of each month, we hold a lunch meeting at 12 noon, when the club’s licensed bar is open. The lunch price increased to £16.00 from 2025.  The Treasurer emails members each month with details of the next lunch menu.  Please reply to him promptly with your choices so that the club can  prepare the correct number of meals. The price of the standard lunch is  now £16. Sandwiches are £6, soup and sandwich £10.  Payment (in cash) should be made prior to the meal.

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, we hold a coffee morning, when a guest speaker addresses us on a topic which may range from historical events to the manufacture of confectionery. The meeting starts at 10am and ends at about 12 noon. Please see the Calendar page for details of the speakers for the coming year.

When a month happens to have a fifth Wednesday, the golfers generally meet for a round at the Walton course.

We have also have a 5th Wed brunch meeting for the men only, usually at 10:15am.   Please check the Calendar page for details of future brunches.
