Trip to Matlock & Crich - September 2011

Leaving Warrington Sports Club at 9am, we visited Masson Mill near Matlock and then lunched at the Greyhound Hotel in Cromford, built by Richard Arkwright in 1778. On to the Crich Tramway Village, where we took a ride on a 1904 Chesterfield tram, now restored to its former glory after spending years in two halves as a pair of holiday cottages. After tea and biscuits, we boarded the coach, ably crewed by JJ, our driver, and Pete, our tour guide, returning to WSC at 8pm.
